The 2014 Unseen Dummy Award shortlist will be exhibited during the Belfast Photo Festival (from the 6th to 23rd of June). During the publisher's weekend (from the 12th to 14th of June), head of the Unseen Book Market and Unseen Dummy Award manager Zhenia Sveshinksy will participate in a panel discussion with two former Dummy Award jurors, Hans Gremmen (2013) and Willem van Zoetendaal (2014), to discuss 'The Art Book Today'.
The Unseen Dummy Award is a collaboration between Unseen and Lecturis to showcase the work of exceptional photographers and designers from around the world and to give them a chance to realise and publish their photobook dummy. The Unseen Dummy Award will give the winning photographer an entry into the international photography industry. In 2014 an esteemed international jury, consisting of Heikki Kaski (Dummay Award winner 2013), Paul van Mameren (director of Lecturis), Willem van Zoetendaal (Dutch publisher, curator and gallery owner), Aron Mörel (founder and owner of Mörel Books), Matthew Carson (Librarian and Archivist at the ICP) and Sybren Kuiper (graphic designer), selected Simon Rimaz as the winner of 2014 for his photobook Unusual View of Unknown Subjects.
The call for the Unseen Dummy Award 2015 is open until the 27th of July. For more information, please download the Terms & Conditions and the Submission Form. If you have any questions, please contact the Unseen Dummy Award Manager, Zhenia Sveshinsky, at email@example.com.
