Louise te Poele (b.1984, the Netherlands) sold her first piece as an art academy student – a portrait of a boyfriend wearing a pantyhose over his head – to the director of the Museum Arnhem. Now her second solo exhibition at this museum is planned for next summer. After graduating from the Artex Academy in Arnhem (2008), te Poele received her Start Stipendium from the BKVD fund with which published her first publication, using a contribution by the Prince Bernhard Culture fund. Between 2010-2011 she was the artist in residence at Schloss Ringenberg in Germany. She has had exhibitions in Amsterdam, Marseille, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Berlin.
